HOw are objects linked?

Re:Object Linking in Access

Hi Nic,

Thank you for your question.

Access allows you to link Access objects such as Tables to other Tables in other Databases.

The first step is to select the table and go to File, Get External Data and Link Tables. Navigate to the other database and select it. Then select the relevant table available to you.

I hope ths answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Access tip:

Create An Inaccessible Field On A Form

There is sometimes a need to make a field in a form look like a normal field but be completely inaccessible to the user. To do this:

In the Field's Properties
Set the ENABLED property to No
Set the LOCKED property to Yes

The field will not grey out, but the user will not be able to do anything with it.
