Critical path

What's a critical path?

RE: Critical path

Hi Oxana

One place to see the Critical Path in MS Project is the Tracking Gantt view. Tasks highlighted red have been identified as Critical to the plan because they have no slack (float) around them and they control the end date of your project. If something changes in your plan which impacts on your critical tasks then your end date will change.

I hope this is helpful. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Compare Work and Duration

Duration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field.
