Word Addresses

Is there anyway that you can ask Word to 'Autocomplete' or 'Autofill' the address on your document if it is one you use regularly or have stored in Outlook?

RE: Word Addresses

Hello Karen

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Word does have a feature called AutoText, which allows you to get Word to finish entering something in for you by pressing Enter, once you have started typing the beginning of the entry. You will probably have noticed this using Word before when typing in say days of the week or months of the year - the rest of the word will come up in a screen tip and when you press Enter it fills the rest in.

In Word 2003 you can set you own AutoText entries by going to Tools - AutoCorrect Options then the AutoText tab. Type the complete address into box under Enter AutoText entries here, and click Add, and OK.

You can test this by typing the beginning of the address, then you should see the rest as a screentip and press Enter to complete the address.

Word tip:

What are Section Breaks and How do we Insert them in Word 2010?

Section Breaks come in use when you want to change the layout of a Word page, for example, maybe you want to change it from portrait to landscape or separate a document into sections to make it easier to number the pages or maybe you want to have a two column layout rather than a single column.

So, to do this, you need to click on the section where you want the section break to be inserted or highlight a whole section of the document. Then click the Page Layout tab which you will find on the Ribbon. Here you will find the Page Setup option, select Breaks and it will give you the different types of breaks.
