Can you autofill with am/pm timings etc? Or is there a formula to add this to timings?

RE: Excel

Hi Nadia,

Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question:

No you cannot autofill with timings only, all it will do is copy the time, you can however fill with a date and time. There is no actual formula other than the two which are commonly used =today() and =now(), changing the formatting of the cell will allow you to change how the time is applied, if you type AM/PM in the cell following your time entry it will change it from 24 to 12 hour time. If you have used the =now() function you can update this by pressing the F9 (Function 9) key.

I hope that has been of assistance. regards Pete

Excel tip:

Separate the year from a date

To separate the year from a date use the =year() function, eg a date is in cell A1 and in A2 you wish to display the year enter the function =year(A1)
