Is it possible to pre-set the size of a shape? For example when I select a shape I would like it to be the same size every time from the palette (without having to change it manually). Many thanks.

RE: Visio

Hello Cheryl,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Visio course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding shapes.

There is a way you can do this, by using a custom stencil.
You can drag a shape onto the page, format it to the size you want, and then save it into a custom stencil.

Create a New Stencil by doing the following:
FILE > SHAPES > NEW STENCIL

This will open a new stencil. Drag your resized shape onto the stencil and rename it. Then save your new stencil, by right clicking on the stencil name and choosing SAVE .

You can add as many shapes as you like, including graphics, drawings, etc to the stencil. If you use a common set of shapes, do the same process as above, and store all your resised shapes in your custom stencil.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
