Header/Footer Update Automatically

Hi

I would like to know if there is a way to set the footer so that it updates the dates automatically for each new day.

Thanks

RE: Header/Footer Update Automatically

Hi Shavaun,

To get the current date to display within a worksheet footer, from View menu, choose the Header and Footer option.

Within the Page Setup dialog box that appears in the Header/Footer tab sheet, select Custom Footer.

By choosing the Date button the following code &[Date] displays in the relevant section. This ensures that that the current computer date always appears at the foot of your Excel worksheet

Regards

Excel tip:

Hiding Formulae in the Formula Bar

It is possible to protect the contents of a cell reference(s) from amendment by applying cell protection. The contents of the cell reference can also be stopped from displaying in the formula bar.

Step 1: Select Format > Cells > Protection.

Step 2: Tick Hidden option. Ensure Locked is ticked

Step 3: Select Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet

(Ensure "Protect worksheet and contents of locked cells" is ticked)
