Designing for dreamweaver

Is fireworks better or photoshop?

RE: designing for dreamweaver

Roni,

It really does depend on your personal preference and what you are trying to achieve.

Since Adobe bought Macromedia, there has been greater integration between Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

However, Fireworks has been associated with Dreamweaver for a lot longer, and may have more functionality.

Fireworks may be phased out in the future, as it was originally a rival to Photoshop until Adobe bought Macromedia.

As one person said on this forum thread:
"Fireworks for logos, layout, etc.
Photoshop for photos, high-res imagery, print, etc."

Regards, Rich

Dreamweaver tip:

JumpMenu in new window

When inserting a jumpmenu to a page, the only option available for 'open in' is usually 'main window'. There would be other options available if the page was a frameset.

To change the jumpmenu to open in a new window, change the target parameter of the selectbox in your code to 'window.open()'.

eg.

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('window.open()',this,0)">
