How do I cross reference book marks in word?

RE: Word

Hi Joyce

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

When you go to create your cross-reference (Insert - Reference - Cross reference), change the Reference type dropdown arrow to Bookmark.

Then you can select the bookmark you wish to reference from the list shown. Using the Insert reference to dropdown arrow, select the reference to the bookmark that you wish to use.

Then click Insert, and Close.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Word tip:

Selective highlighting...

Selecting in word has improved with CTRL being added in XP for individual ranges, like in excel. If you want to select a range such as an column which has been created using tabs you could use the CTRL key and select one word at a time, but if you hold down the ALT key and then click and drag your mouse it will select wherever you drag to. This will only allow you to do 1 change though.
