is there a way to draw a trend line on a graph up to a certain point (mid way) then draw a second trend line from where the last one finishes to see whether from a certain date the trend has been going up to down

RE: Excel Drawing Objects

Hi Kia,

Thank you for your question.

You can draw lines on Excel graphs using Drawing Toolbar.
1) View menu > Toolbars > switch on "Drawing"
2) On the Drawing toolbar, click on straight line icon
3) Click & drag a line on graph, leave mouse when finish
4) You can change the lenght, angle, thickness, colour, style using the drawing toolbar.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another X question?

Have a great day.

Excel tip:

Quickly hide and unhide rows and columns

Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+9 to hide selected rows and Ctrl+0 to hide selected columns. The good thing about this shortcut is that you do not need to select entire rows or columns. For example, select B3:D3 then press Ctrl+0 to hide columns B to D.

Ctrl+Shift+9 unhides rows and Ctrl+Shift+0 unhides columns.
