Access/Excel - differing versions

Would any data be compromised if the excel version used to link to an access database was a later version (eg Excel 2007 linking to Access 2003) ?

RE: Access/Excel - differing versions

Hi Alexis, Thank you for your post, In answer to your question I cannot see any reason for the data to be compromised as Excel can accept input data from a wide range of input data sources, using the Data - Import External Data operation will show you. I hope that helps best regards Pete

Access tip:

Remove spaces in a table

If you have a table that has too many space marks littered around, you can create a update query and use the trim function to get rid of any excess space marks
