MS Outlook XP - Backing Up Email

Can you tell me how to back up my email folders to a USB stick or external hard drive - thanks

RE: MS Outlook XP - Backing Up Email

Hi John,

What you need to do is locate your .pst file. This is the file that stores all of your emails and other data related to Outlook. If you are unsure where to find this, just use the windows search feature, to search your hard drive for files and folders. Search for .pst and this will return all files ending .pst. Once located you can then backup your pst file to a usb stick or any external media.

Hope this helps
David
