Sound Clips
How can I apply a sound clip to the whole of my presentation in PowerPoint?
RE: Sound Clips
Hi Lucy
Thank you for your question.
To play a sound for the whole duration of a slide show do the following:
1. Add your sound file by going to the Insert tab/Media Clips group and then click the Sound button.
2. Use Sound from file to locate and select a sound file saved on your computer. Double-click it to add the sound.
3. A message will display on your screen - choose whether you want the sound to play automatically or if you want the sound to play when you click on the sound icon.
4. Go to Animation tab/Animations group and click Custom Animation.
5. In the Custom Animation task pane click the arrow to the right of the selected sound in the Custom Animation list and select Effect Options.
6. On the Effect tab, under Stop playing select After andd then select the total number of slides on which the file should play.
For this option, the length of the sound file should equal the amount of time the slides are displayed on the screen for. You can find out what the length of the file is by going to selecting the sound icon, going to the Sound Settings tab/Information.
7. If you want the sound to start playing again once finished (loop), then select the sound icon, then under Sound tools choose the Options tab and in Sound Options select the Loop until stopped checkbox.
I hope this helps.
