Microsoft Word

Since changing from XP to the new Vista format I have not been able to access a SORT sub heading under the TABLE menu.
I was previously able to use this facility to enable me to change the contents of a column from numerical ascendancy to alphabetical ascendancy and vice versa. Can you help?

RE: Microsoft Word

Hi Janet

Thank you for your question.

This feature is still available in Word 2007. The first thing to check is whether you have clicked inside your table, as the ribbon which lets you sort your data will not appear unless your cursor is sitting in the table area.

Select the Layout table under Table Tools at the top of the screen. In the Data group of buttons you should find the Sort button. Clicking on this will launch the Sort dialogue box...and you're away.

I hope this helps.
Amanda
