Displaying formulas

How do I display a formula in a cell as opposed to the formula bar

RE: Displaying formulas

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your post, I hope you enjoyed the Excel Intermediate Course. In answer to your question.
To display all formulas in a Worksheet you can use the toggle button combination (Toggle on and off) CTRL+Pipe key (the pipe key is found immediatly above the Tab key next to the number 1 key.)
If you just want to display the formula in the selected cell then try a double click on the cell, this will open the cell in Edit mode and display the formula. Hope that answers your post. Pete.

Excel tip:

Showing all menu items

If you go into a pull down menu you usally find that you get a selection of items(this is the default) or sometimes everything. If you only get a selectiopn you have to go to the double arrows at the bottom of the menu and click it to get all of the hidden items.
To turn this off so that you always get everything, go to Tools / Customize / Options Tab / "Always show full menus". Make sure there is a tick in the box and you will always have every item.
