How do you name a hyperlink?

RE: VISIO

Hi Liz

Thank you for your question - my apologies for the delay in responding.

I've found a way that you can have a message pop up when you hold your mouse over a shape. So if you've put a hyperlink on a shape and you want to display a message telling people to Click to see X when they hold their mouse over the shape, you can do the following:

Right-click on the shape, then go to Format and choose Special. In the box next to Data 1, type your message. Then click OK. Test by holding your mouse pointer over the shape - the message should appear.

The other option would be to create a text box and type your message into the text box, then position the text box next to the shape.

Visio tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Visio 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Visio 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
