How do I copy in a text Word file that includes some lines with bullet points and other in paragrpah format into powerpoint with keeping the formating in the Master Slide?
RE: Word to Powerpoint
Hi Justin
Thanks for your question.
If you are using the 2002 or 2003 version of PowerPoint, when you paste the text into PowerPoint, a smart tag should appear on the screen (a little button with the ClipBoard icon on it) - click on the smart tag and choose Use Design Template formatting.

We unfortunately have Powerpoint 200. Any suggestions for that version.

Hi Justin
In PowerPoint 2000, you should have the Format Painter button which you can use to copy formatting from one piece of text to another.
So if you have text in the presentation that has the design template formatting applied to it, you can select it, click the Format Painter button and highlight the text you wish to copy the formatting to.
What I would suggest is to copy all your text over first, then use the Format Painter to change the formatting after all the text has been copied. Then:
1. Select the item whose format you would like to copy.
2. To copy the selected format to several items, double-click the Format Painter button. The button stays selected, or "sticky."
3. Select the text where you want to apply the new format.
4. Repeat step 3 until you've finished formatting all copied text.
5. When you're finished applying the format, click the Format Painter button again or press ESC.
I hope this helps.
