Pivot Chart Report(2)

Hi - I've already posted this question but yet unresolved and I'm need an urgent solution!! - Pete has had a go, is there anyone else who can help??

I am creating a chart from a pivot table (i.e. a pivot chart report) - when I change a variable on the pivot chart the format of the chart changes.

I am not using a standrd chart, I'm using an excel custom type chart (line - column on 2 axes) - when I change a variable on the chart the chart defaults back to a standard chart.

Can you please explain how I can set up a "line - column on 2 axes" chart and when I change a variable to keep this chart format.

If easier to discuss please feel free to call me on 020 7335 7379

Thanks
NICK

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi Nick

Thanks for the file. I've checked and it appears that this may be related to a problem Microsoft is aware of. Take a look at the following information:

for more details and a suggested workaround. Does this resolve your problem?

Kind regards,

Andrew

RE: Pivot Chart Report(2)

Thanks Andrew!!

Excel tip:

Display pictures on Chart Data Point

Replacing a single chart data point bar with a picture.
Step 1: Left click on a bar. Then, wait, and do a second single click on the bar. This will select just one data point.

Step 2: Right click on the bar and select Format Data Point.

Step 3: On the fill effects tab, choose a picture. Browse for a picture for that bar. Indicate if you want it to be stretched or stacked. Repeat for each bar.
