Pivot Chart report

HI

I am creating a chart from a pivot table (i.e. a pivot chart report) - when I change a variable on the pivot chart the format of the chart changes.

I am not using a standrd chart, I'm using an excel custom type chart (line - column on 2 axes) - when I change a variable on the chart the chart defaults back to a standard chart.

Can you please explain how I can set up a "line - column on 2 axes" chart and when I change a variable to keep this chart format.

If easier to discuss please feel free to call me on 020 7335 7379

Thanks
NICK

RE: Pivot Chart report

Hi Nick, Thanks for the post, I have tried your request numerous times and also come up with the same result that you are getting, I can only deduct that its not possible to retain that particular chart type whilst changing the variables, however I will keep trying and if I come up with a solution I will post it for you.
regards

Pete

Excel tip:

Activating the formula bar with the keyboard in Excel 2010

The formula bar in Excel 2010 contains a number of different formulas. However, it is time consuming to open the formula bar every time and insert the formula using the mouse. Instead, you can activate the formula bar with the keyboard. Simply press the F2 button on the keyboard then the information in the cell will expand allowing you to edit the information in the cell.
