is there a quick way for formulas to update when looking up one tab to a new tab in a sum if formula?

Hello Aneela,
Thank you for your question. All formulas in Excel will update live, even those linking to data on other tabs.
The only time formulas don't update live is if calculations are set to Manual. You can check this by going to:
Formulas > Calculation Options. Here, check that 'Automatic' is selected.
