Excel VBA Introduction course

Excel VBA

Can you use VBA and Power query editor

RE: Excel VBA

Hi Gavin,

Thank you for the forum question and the nice feedback.

I am happy that you found the course useful.

Yes you can use Power Query to do a part of the task and finish the task by using VBA. As mentioned during the course. Power Query can automate the task getting the data, cleaning, and structuring the data, the VBA could do something like distributing the reports.

Well, VBA can handle everything, but it makes good sense to let Power Query handle, what Power Query is build for.

Excel tip:

Some examples of CTRL key shortcuts in Excel 2010

Did you know that the old CTRL key shortcuts haven't changed from previous versions of Excel to the 2010 version?

They remain exactly the same:

Ctrl+B for bold
Ctrl+I for italics
Ctrl+P to Print
Ctrl+S to Save
