Thanks for the question

The fundamental rule is to press = at the beginning, then you must put the cell ref then the operator (+ - / or *) and continue until you decide you have finished then you press enter. So for example =A1+B1+C1 (enter). Also remember excel follows the rules of BODMAS so 1+2*3 will be 7 because the multiplication comes before the addition.

Copying Values Without Formulas in Excel 2010

If you want to copy the contents of a cell but don't want to copy the formula with it then use the following simple method:

Press Ctrl+C to copy the values in the cell. On the Home tab, click Paste and then click Paste Values.
