Conditional Formatting
I have just ticked the 'Stop if True' on my blank one, and that has changed it so I am okay now, sorry!!
Hi,
I have a column of data with varying %'s. I am using conditional formatting to out green anything below 0 which works fine, then between 0-10% in yellow which also works fine. I then went to put anything in orange above 10%, but it turns all of the blank cells orange as well. Why would that happen? I have tried adding a final rule for blanks to have no fill, but it doesn't help (it was in the right order when I did that).
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you,
Jo
RE: Conditional Formatting
Hi Jo,
Thankyou for sending this question.
It seems you have resolved the problem of blank cells not changing to a set colour through using the 'Stop if true' setting. If this is the case, please let me know so we can mark this post as resolved.
If not, I can look at the issue for you. One thing I have noticed when setting multiple rules on selected data is that the blank cell rule to have no formatting accidentally becomes part of another rule (ie. 0-10%) and so will turn that colour. it looks like you have already sorted the order of priority for the 'blank cell' rule (via Manage Rules) by moving it to the top of the list.
Let me know if you would like to proceed further with this issue
Kind Regards
Martin
