Excel in MS Teams

My team are attempting to move our shared files to MS teams so that we can work on them collectively makes it difficult to use macros in teams and online viewers

Hi Jamie,

Thank you for the forum question and I am sorry about the late answer.

VBA can only be executed from the Excel application, so if it is stored in MS Team the file need to be opened in the Excel application. You can execute a VBA code from the Excel application, which will do tasks in files stored on Teams and Sharepoint, but the code needs to be mapped correctly.

Power Automate is an option to automate tasks in Teams and Sharepoint but I will not know if this is a solution for what you will like to do.
