Presentation of PowerPoint to others

How do you present the "slide" only on the screen but have the Slide and the Notes section on your monitor.

I have followed the instructiond in Help but when I get to the crucial section to "turn on" the dual presentation my screen greys out

Thanks for the question,

If the computer system you are using for your slide show is set up with dual monitors, you can run your presentation using whats known as Presenter view on one monitor.

Presenter view will give you a variety of tools with which to present the slide show, as well as a view of all your notes, whilst the 2nd monitor displays the full-screen slide presentation for the audience. To be able to use Presenter view, your computer system must be able to have the Windows Desktop extended across both monitors. For a desktop computer, this usually means having two graphics adapters. If you're using a portable computer, it must have multiple-monitor capability.

Coping slides quickly

Rather than using insert / files, have both presentations open.
1. Windows / arrange all
2. In the Slide view drag the slide you want to copy, and drop it in the other slide view.
3. Then use the smart tag to decide if you keep the formatting.
