Adding 2 types of conditional formatting to the same cell?

I have an Excel sheet which I want to show in 2 columns the date we sent out the "MOS" and the date we received "Docs from Solicitor". In the "MOS" column, I want to add a colour scale conditional formatting formula, like a timer, that changes colour based on the date. So green for between the date entered up to +2 days. Yellow for +3 days up to +4 days and red for +5 days and over.
However, in the "Docs from Solicitor" column, which is next to it, I'd like to be able to add a second date, which stops the timer on the "MOS" column and sets it, so that colour remains the same once the second date in entered.
There is a 3rd column for "days between MOS and docs" which I have already added a colour scale and shows the amount of days in between column "MOS" & column "Docs from solicitor". (I don't know if this would affect any of the above?)
I've been asked to have this done by the end of the week if possible, so any help would be great.
Many thanks,
Lauren
