Pivot Table refresh

Why does it come up with N/A when refreshing pivot tables sometimes?

RE: Pivot Table refresh

Hi Jordan,

Thank you for the forum question.

If you are using the option "Show values As" and the operation you want the PivotTable to do is not possible, you get the N/A.

It can be because of blank values. PivotTables like 0 and not blank cells.

PivotTables create an address in the computers memory called Pivot Cache. It can also be a memory issue.

Sorry I cannot give you a better answer, but if you want me to have a look at your file, you can send it to:

Excel tip:

Sorting data stored in rows

Primarily Excel is set up to sort data that is stored in columns rather than rows.

It is possible to get Excel to sort data stored in rows however.

Click in the row you want to sort, or select the cells in the rows you wish to sort.

Go to Data - Sort, then go to the Options button in the bottom left corner of the Sort dialogue box.
