How do you convert a date field in a excel document to show the numeric value 1 (if a date is present) and an empty field to show 0.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for the forum question.
You will have to use a separate column.
If your dates or empty cells are in column A use the IsNumber function like this:
=--Isnumber(A2)
This will return 1 if there is a date in A2 and zero if it is blank.
