Is there a way to use Pivots for Triangulation Reports?
RE: Pivot Tables
Hello Tad,
Thank you for your question. If by triangulation you mean combining three or more reports into one Pivot Table, then yes you can.
If you are using Excel 2013 or 2016, you can add multiple tables to the data model in Pivot Tables. To do this, you need to tick the Add to Data Model box in the Pivot Table dialogue box each time you add a table. Please ensure that each table has at least one column which matches a column in one or more of the other tables.
Once you have added all the tables, click the Relationships button in the Analyse tab. A box opens where you can link your tables by creating relationships between the corresponding columns in your tables.
In the Pivot Table Field List, click All so that you can see all your tables. Now you can build Pivot Tables from different data sets.
If I misunderstood your question, please post again to clarify, so that we can find a solution.
Kind regards
