Downloading all fields in large access database table and linkin

1) how to download all the fields in an access database table (if going through Data/From Other Sources/From Microsoft Query/Choose Data Source/ and then selecting a database, the Wizard then opens to select the fields in tables but for large tables, it is not possible to select all the fields, especially when selecting multiple tables (exceeds the output). The way we have been selecting all of the fields in one table (but not able to connect multiple tables) is through Insert/Pivot Table/External Data Source and browsing to connect to a new source. The Data Connection Wizard is then used for an ODBC data source and a whole table is selected (all fields download even if it is a large table).

RE: downloading all fields in large access database table and li

Hi Karen

Thanks for your question.
I just imported all fields from an Access database table with the MS Query Wizard. Rather than pressing the + sign to selecte individual fields I selected the table name and press the > button to select all fields.

Hope that can be done with your example as it would be as you say vry time consuming to select one by one.

Excel tip:

Copying Formulae Quickly

There is a quicker way of copying a formula down a column.

Just point and double click on the black autofill handle in the right hand corner of a cell.

This will work providing you have some data in the column to the left of the column.
