How can a user auto-align content (text/picture Boxes) in powerpoint?

Thank you for the forum question.

You have a number of tools in PowerPoint which can help you align objects.

In PowerPoint on the VIEW tab you can find RULER, GRIDLINES & GUIDES in the SHOW group. This are all tools which can help you align objects. If you want to customise the GRID and/or GUIDES you can click on the arrow to the right of SHOW in the SHOW group.

If you select more than one object and click on the FORMAT tab you can find alignment tools in the ARRANGE group which will auto align all selected objects. When the objects are aligned it can be convenient to group them as one object. This make it easier to move them all together later. You will also find the group option on the FORMAT tab in the ARRANGE group.

Microsoft Office tip:

Draw a perfect square or circle

Click on the Rectangle or Oval button on the Drawing toolbar. (If necessary, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Drawing check box on the Toolbars to display the toolbar.)
Press and hold down both the [SHIFT] key and the mouse button.
Drag the mouse pointer diagonally downward and to the right until the rectangle or circle drawn has your preferred measurements.
Release the mouse button.
Release the [SHIFT] key.
In short, simply hold down the SHIFT key while dragging the mouse pointer!
