Quick Copying & Paste of Indifferent numbers in a large spreadsh

Good afternoon,

Is there a way to quickly Copy & Paste indifferent numbers without doing this individually for example:-

If I wanted to Copy the date in Cell A3 (01/04/2013) down to A22.

Then I wanted to Copy a new date in Cell A23 (07/08/2015) down to A40.

Then Copy another new date in Cell A41 (06/12/2016) down to Cell A55

Etc....

Is there a quicker way of doing so? As it would say so much time. The document has 7945 rows

Many thanks,

Hi Elisha,

Thank you for the forum question.

It is a difficult task to do because there is no pattern in what you need.

If you have Excel VBA knowledge it can be done writing a code and this will be much faster.

You do not have any "normal" Excel tools which can do it.

Excel tip:

Sorting List Subtotals

If you find that you would prefer to show the items in a subtotalled list in a different order, eg ascending rather than descending, you can sort your list. To sort a subtotalled list, hide the detail rows and then sort the subtotal rows. When you sort a subtotalled list, the hidden detail rows are automatically moved with the subtotal rows.
IMPORTANT: If you do not hide the details rows before sorting a subtotalled list, your subtotals will be removed and all of the rows in your list will be reordered.
