Excel Waterfall Chart

HI

Can you please help me in creating a waterfall chart based off the below data (FYI - data in column B are individual figures and not a cumulative total). Unfortunately I don't have Excel 2106 with the built in chart. Your urgent help would be much appreciated!

Column A Column B
ford -2.6
bmw 0.0
skoda 0.8
Mercedes 2.3
audi -0.1
nissan 0.0
toyota 0.1
mini 0.7
land rover 0.0
jaguar 0.0
kia 3.1
hummer 0.0
lexus 0.0

Kind regards
Adrian

RE: Excel Waterfall Chart

Hi Adrian,

Waterfall charts are very useful.
To create one using Excel 2007-2013 requires formulas and setting up the rise and fall components of the Chart and then multiple stages of formatting.

Can I suggest
1) that if you'd like to create complex and advanced charts, you might find it helpful to attend the Advanced Charting course we run.
https://www.stl-training.co.uk/syl/27/excel-charting-advanced-course.html

2) If you'd like us to create one for you, using your file we can provide that service.

3) You download a free trial copy of 2016 which has an automatic Waterfall chart feature

Let me know if I can help with option 1) or 2)

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Sorting data stored in rows

Primarily Excel is set up to sort data that is stored in columns rather than rows.

It is possible to get Excel to sort data stored in rows however.

Click in the row you want to sort, or select the cells in the rows you wish to sort.

Go to Data - Sort, then go to the Options button in the bottom left corner of the Sort dialogue box.
