Shared workbooks

Is there a way to share a workbook and minimise the risk of losing data?

RE: Shared workbooks

Hi Athina,

Thank you for the forum question.

You can share a password protected workbook and you can track the changes done in the shared workbook. Then you can make sure that only people with the password can change the data and if you track the changes you can see who have changed the data.

What do you mean by minimise the risk of losing data?

If you mean that you are afraid that someone will delete data from you workbook you can protect the sheets, then no one can change or delete your data.

I hope this is a help but please let me know if you need more.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Using basic functions without doing formulas

When you highlight figures Autocalc tells you the total in the bottom right of the screen, but if you right click on the sum it will give you some basic functions. The functions are Min, Max, Average, Sum, Count, and Count Nums.
