I wanted to know if there was a way to highlight when there is a break of more than 28 days in a gap between 2 different dates?
I have taken over collecting references for Air side passes & need to get a gap reference when there is more than a 28 day period between working dates i was wondering if there was an easy way to highlight this without counting out dates for a 5 year period?
any help much appreciated :)
thanks
RE: Xcel
Hi Charlotte,
Thank you for the forum question.
Yes there is always a way to do almost everything in Excel.
Select the column you want to highlight. Click Conditional Formatting on the Home tab and click New Rule. Under Select a Rule Type: click Use a formula to determine which cells to format.
In the box Format values where this formula is true:
Type:
=B1-A1>28 (B1 is the cell in the first row of your selection where you have the end date. A1 is the cell where you have the start date in the first row in your selection)
Click on the format button to tell Excel how you wanted formatted if the formula is true.
I have attached an example workbook.
I hope this is what you want.
Kind regards
