Pivot charts

can I have 2 sets of data on a y axis with a single set of data on an x axis? Eg. X axis GBP£, Y axis geographical region and department.

RE: pivot charts

Hello Kezia

Thank you for your question.
Yes it is possible to have 2 y axis, here's how:

1. create a chart in the usual way.
2. select the data series (e.g. columns) that you want to make into the secondary axis
3. Right and select Format Data Series from the list
4. Click in the Secondary axis check box. The selected columns now appear on top of any other columns.
5. Leave the columns selected and on the Design ribbon, select Change Chart Type.
6. chose a line chart so the other chart data is clearly visible.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Rotating Text in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

Maybe you want to draw attention to certain text or you just simply want to make your worksheet look more exciting!

One of the things you might consider is, rotating the text in a particular cell or set of cells.

1) Select a cell you would like to rotate
2) Click the ''Home'' tab in the Ribbon
3) Click ''orientation'' in the ''Alignment'' section
4) A pop up menu will appear with a few choices, if you want to decide yourself how many degrees to rotate the text, then click ''Format Cell Alignment.''
