Hello,
I have a straight-fwd one line graphic, that goes above ander the value of 0 in the vertical axis. I would like the line to be red when the value is under 0 and blue when it's abobe 0. Cuold I do that? how?
Thank you,
Elena.

RE: graphics

Hi Elena,

Thank you for the forum question.

It is easy to do if it was a column chart but much more difficult in a line chart.

You cannot do it using the Excel chart tools, but by creating a complex data model. I found an example online I have attached.

Kind regards

RE: graphics

Hello and thank you for your reply. oh dear - could I then make the 0 horizontal line red?

RE: graphics

Hi Elena,

Sorry about the delayed answer.

If you double click the 0 horizontal line you can change the colour. Click LINE COLOR to the left and SOLID LINE to the right and select a colour.

Excel tip:

Multiple Lines of Text in a Cell

As an alternative to the Text Wrapping facility, type a word or two, press Alt+Enter to get a new line, type more text, and continue the process for as many lines as you need. Enter as normal when you have finished.

The line break is not affected by changing the column width, as text wrapping. To remove this you must edit the cell and remove the invisible character and replace with a normal space.
