Copying subtotals

after getting the subtotals from a worksheet, would like to copy just the subtotals without the hidden data into a new worksheet, how do I do that?

RE: copying subtotals

Hello Fabio,

Thank you for your post. To copy subtotals to a new worksheet without the background data, you select the subtotals (I assume you are collapsing the sheet so that only the subtotals are showing), then press F5 (Function 5 key). This opens the Go To box.

Click the Special button at the bottom of this box. In the Go To Special box, select "Visible cells only". After this, press Ctrl + C to copy your selected range. In the new worksheet, simply press Ctrl + V to paste the subtotals. The key here is that you've told Excel to copy only the visible cells, i.e. the subtotals.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
