Selecting Multiple Worksheets

To whom it may concern,

I have been trying to select multiple worksheets, unsuccessfully. I was told I had to select the first worksheet, then go to the last one and select it whilst also pressing SHIFT. However, it does not work. I tried even selecting multiple ones by using CTRL but still I can only select one at the time.

Is there another way to select multiple worksheet other than doing 'select all', which would not help since I do not need to select all worksheets?

Your help is very much appreciated!
Thansk in advance,
Greta

RE: Selecting Multiple Worksheets

Hi Greta

Thanks for getting in touch. It sounds like you are doing everything correctly.

Hold SHIFT to select sheets in a range, or CTRL to select individual sheets.

The only reason I can think of this not working is by restrictions placed by the creator of the worksheet?

Kind regards

RE: Selecting Multiple Worksheets

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your quick response. I am the creator of the workbook and I am pretty sure I did not place any restrictions. Just to make sure, how could I remove this particular restriction if this was the case?

Thanks in advance!
Greta

RE: Selecting Multiple Worksheets

Hi Greta

It's very deliberate, the options are in Review > Protect Sheet. So it's unlikely you've accidentally turned these on.

Excel tip:

Quickly create a list of numbers

The fill handle in Excel has many uses. If a number is typed into a cell and then the fill handle is used, the number will be copied from one cell to the next.

If you wish to create a list of numbers that increment by one at a time, hold down Ctrl in conjunction with using the fill handle - this should give you a series of numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3 etc) rather than copying a single number.
