RE: Questionnaire template to include tick box

Hello Jeyanthan,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding adding check boxes to a questionnaire template in Microsoft Word.

To create check boxes make sure you have the Developer ribbon open. To do this click the Office button and then select Word Options at the bottom. In the first page of options choose ‘Show Developer Ribbon’.

In the Developer ribbon in the Controls group you will find the Content Control buttons, the Date Picker and of course the Check Box button. All you have to do is select the place on your document where you wish to place the control and then click the relative control.

To use this form, I suggest you save it as a template first and then protect the form.

To use the form you must protect the data from accidental edits. To do this click the Restrict Editing button found in the Protect group on the Developer ribbon.

In the Restrict formatting and editing pane tick the check box in No 2. Click the drop-down arrow and select Filling in forms. Add a password if you think it’s necessary. Then click the button in the 3rd section, ‘Yes, Start Enforcing Protection’.

Now you can fill in the form.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

RE: Questionnaire template to include tick box

Hello Jeyanthan,

The information you are requesting is taught in our advanced Word training course.

There is no reason why you cannot find the controls I referred to if you had followed my instructions. I suggest you try again and failing this do the advanced Word training course.

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney

Printing specific sections of your document

If your Word document contains sections and you want to print one specific section, you can do so by going to File - Page Setup, then entering the number of the section preceded with an 's' in the Pages box (e.g. entering s2 in the Pages box would print just section 2). Then click OK to print.
