Formulae

I would like to learn more about the various formulae and how to use them.

Also, how do I use more than one formula in Excel?

RE: Formulae

Hi Arabella

There are many different Excel functions that you can use, depending on what you are wanting to achieve.

I find that the best way to learn about various functions and what they can do is to look up worksheet functions in Help and then select Worksheet functions listed by category and browse through the function categories.

You can use more than one function as part of the same formula, again, it depends on what you are wanting to achieve. For example, you could use logical functions (AND, OR) in conjunction with the IF function to expand on how many criteria have to be met in order for Excel to decide to display the 'value if true' or 'value if false' result.

Thank you for your question.

Excel tip:

Selecting blank cells within a range of data

Select the range of data which includes the blank cells that you would like to select. Press the F5 key, this will take you to the GoTo dialogue box where you can click on Special and then select Blanks.
