Macros

I have created a macro but when I want to run it I get the same error message......."Because of your security settings, macros have been disabled. To run macros, you need to reopen this workbook and then choose to enable macros".I have changed my settings via the excel options tab but I still can't run the macros - is there something else I should do?

RE: Macros

When you set your options...
You were in the trust center?
Is the message bar set to show the Message Bar in all applications? This will give the yellow bar that allows you to check that Enable.
Have you checked that the location is added to the trusted locations and that the Disable all trusted locations is not checked?

My experience with 2007 was that it didn't remember trusted locations regardless although this was corrected in 2010. My thought would be to make sure you have selected that you get the enable content message bar so you can make sure that you can enable it.

Excel tip:

Filtering Data in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

When you have an Excel Worksheet with masses of data, it's not going to be easy to sift through it. So, in order to view sections of data, you can use the filter tool. Select the cells you want to filter (no need to select the column headers), then click the Home tab on the Ribbon, click Sort and Filter (you will find this in the Editing Section) then click Filter.

You will now see arrows in the top row of all the columns. If you click on an arrow, it will give you some filtering options so you can sort your data into ''Smallest to Largest'' or ''Oldest to Newest'' and so on..

To turn off the filtering, go back to the Home tab and click the Filter button again.
