Excell Autofilter

Hello, I have been filtereing a table and changing the data in the collumn that has been filtered. Now I am unable to change the filter or clear the filter. the Data tab is all grayed out. I am also unable to remove the auto filters using the cntrl + shift + L hot keys, Excel will also not let me sort the table. Is this a bug? and is there a solution to it? Thanks in advance.

RE: Excell Autofilter

Hello Elizabeth

Sorry not to get back earlier. Yes you should be able to edit the filtered data and sort. It might be worth testing out if the same thing happends on a different computer. If not then you know it is to do with your version of Excel or your pc. Otherwise you can send you file to us by clicking the Upload button after posting a reply.

Hope that helps for now.

Excel tip:

Hiding a worksheet in Excel

Want to circulate an Excel workbook file but keep certain worksheets hidden from your colleagues' view?

You can do so by bringing up the sheet you wish to hide on your screen; then going to Format - Sheet - Hide.

It will not be immediately obvious that a sheet is hidden from view unless perhaps the sheet are still labelled Sheet 1, Sheet 2 etc.

To display the sheet again, you can go to Format - Sheet - Unhide on any of the other sheets in the workbook. A dialogue box will appear, allowing you to select the hidden sheet/s. Click OK to make the sheet/s reappear again.
