Formatting cells

Hi,

I need help on formatting cells. How can I format the entire sheet so that any values showing as 0 or coming up as an error are re-labelled to "n/a"?

Thanks!

RE: Formatting cells

Hi Anjali

Thanks for getting in touch. There's no direct one-click answer to make this happen in Excel. If your data is in a PivotTable there are options to format zeroes and errors as you require.

For regular cells, you can wrap the contents in a formula, but it can get a little messy and may not be the simplest approach. You would have a formula like this:

=IF(OR(ISERROR(your formula),0),"n/a",your formula)

If it is too cumbersome to modify the sheet to incorporate this formula, would Conditional Formatting help? You may wish to format all zeroes or errors as white or another format.

There's more info at this Microsoft link:
