How can I get data that is updated in one file to automatically update in another

Hi Dawn, thanks for your query. That can only happen if you have linked cells between the file and you need to open the files for the upates to occur. Other than that, you're looking at some VBA code to achieve it!

Excel tip:

Autonumber in Excel

To create an autonumber field, can use the Offset() function.

In cell A1, enter the number 1.
Then in cell A2, enter this formula:

=OFFSET(A2,-1,0)+1

Then copy the formula from cell A2, down as far as you need.
