short cut

Short Cut

there was a short cut where I had to press Ctrol =`, what does that do again?

RE: Short Cut

Hi Emily, if it's Ctrl=' then it copies the information above. Example if you:

put, I hope this helps, in cell A1. You then place the cursor in A2 do Ctrl=' (no spaces) you will see "I hope this helps" appear in cell A2 where your cursor was.

Ctrl=' might play a tune in the right hands but the above is all I know.

RE: Short Cut

Hi folks. Emily, Ctrl + ` is the keyboard shortcut to Show Formulas. We used this to determine whether there were any formulas on spreadsheet and then used our Formula Auditing tools for further analysis of spreadsheet structure.

Hope this helps,

Excel tip:

Hiding and unhiding columns using the keyboard

CTRL + 0 hides your columns and CTRL + SHIFT + ) unhides them although you would need to highlight the column letters either side as per normal
