RE: Formulas

Hi Pamela

On your Excel Introduction and Intermediate course there were several examples of formulas and functions. To create a Formula:

1. Start by positioning your cursor where you want the answer result to be.
2. Press =
3. Click on cells or type the formula. For example
=C10*2%+C10
This formula increase C10 by 2%.
4. Press Enter.

To create a Function:

1. Position your cursor in a blank cell for the answer result.
2. Click on the Formulas tab and choose one of the categories eg Logical.
3. Choose one of the functions listed, eg IF.
4. In the dialog box fill in each part or argument of the function eg forthe IF function it would be logical test, true and false.
5. Press OK then copy the function to other cells as required using Autofill.

Please reply if there are specific functions or formulas that you want help with.
