RE: Views
Hello Joanne,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding how to use Split Panes in Excel.
Split Panes in Excel are used mainly to compare rows or columns of data. You can insert either a vertical split, a horizontal spilt or both. The rules are:
Horizontal splits are placed above where you have clicked on your data sheet and vertical splits are placed to the left of where you clicked.
The Split button can be found in the View ribbon > Window group.
Once the splits are in place all you have to do then is click in the section which should be scrolled and then start scrolling up/down or left/right until the data you wish to compare with is next to the data in the fixed pane.
If you wish to move the split, simply drag it whichever way you choose! To remove the splits click the split button.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney
