Hi, i hope you are able to help me.;

I have the following prioblem: I have two worksheets within an excel spreadsheet of reports, and these worksheets should contain exactly the same data/reports however one worksheet appear to have 27 less and I need to identify the missing 27 reports, I am not sure how to go about this, i have scoured the web but has little luck.

RE: Conditional formatting

Hello Claire,

First of all, let's get the terminology right!

You have an Excel Workbook that contains two Worksheets both of which should contain the same data/reports. However, one Worksheet has less data than the other and you require a method to compare the two Worksheets to establish what is missing from the one. Is this correct?

I need to know how the first Worksheet gets its data and then how does the second Worksheet get its data? Knowing this can be of help in determining why you have missing data in the first place and then I can suggest ways of doing this more efficiently. So please give me more info.

You say that there are many reports on each Worksheet. How are these reports separated? How many rows does each report have? How many columns?

If you are able to send me a copy of the 2 Worksheets that would even be better. If you are allowed to do this, please send the file to me at:

I await your reply.

Have a great day.
