Importing data from other accounting software packages to Excel

Thank you for your question regarding importing data from an accounting package to Excel.

I have worked with many different accounting packages, all of which had an Export to Excel function. Not having used Sage I can't answer for them. However, I suspect that they will allow this. So when I wanted data to be transferred o Excel I would select the parameters and then use the export function to complete the transfer.

If you want to do this the other way round i.e. Import from Excel, this is done from Data ribbon in the Get external data group. It is always a good idea to refer to your IT department who can set up an ODBC file which you can use to help with importing the data you require. Also, find someone in your company who is already doing this and get some help from them.
