Shortcuts

Is there a shortcut available to be able to get to the end of data in a certain column, for example, you have 250 rows of data and are at row 1, to save scrolling to the end, is there a shortcut to get you to row 251?

RE: Shortcuts

Hello John,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding shortcuts.

You can click on any cell in the column of data and then hold down the CTRL key followed by the down-arrow key. This will take your cursor to the last data cell.

Some other useful shortcuts:

1) Select the first cell of a column of data followed by CTRL + Shift + Down-arrow to select all the data in that column

2) CTRL + Home always takes you to cell A1

3) CTRL + A selects all the data in a table

To find more shortcuts in Excel go to Help then type Key Tips into the search box and press enter. In the list look for Excel Shortcuts. Print these out for later use.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

Excel tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
